Parabolic Footstool
This footstool was my entry into a woodworking challenge at my office. The contest was to design and make an item from a single 2x4 x 8’ stud. Instead of buying a new board, I cut down a 2x6 leftover from my workbench build. I cut thin strips and then steamed them in a makeshift streamer. Being the first time steaming I tried to keep everything really basic and inexpensive. I really like the form that came alive with this build. I hope to experiment more with this shape and with steam bending.
